How We Started
A Story of Friendship & Celebration
Melanie and Tara have been best friends since they were 12 (ironically, pictured here playing “brides” in a 7th grade musical). They’re Valley natives, Arizona State University grads, and seasoned corporate leaders with decades of experience managing teams and complex operations.
They are no strangers to the event industry. Today, Melanie is an experienced wedding officiant, and Tara — a lifelong musician and singer — has been performing at weddings since she was 16.
Together, they bring a deep understanding of what makes an event truly meaningful. Champagne Haus was born from their friendship, their passion for hospitality, and their belief that hosts should feel like guests at their own party.

Meet Tara
Co-Owner
Tara works in finance and holds six financial licenses. In her 25 years at one of the largest investment management companies in the world, she’s had the opportunity to lead customer service, operations, and sales organizations. Her leadership skills in these areas make for a perfect skill set in growing a business built on organizing and planning successful events. Prior to her finance career, Tara worked as a Special Events Coordinator for a large highway safety company. Her signature annual event was a large-scale golf tournament, where she helped manage every detail, from vendor coordination to donor engagement.
Meet Melanie
Co-Owner
As Chief Product Officer for a software developer, Melanie manages the product and creative teams, developing cutting-edge and innovative gaming products. As an executive leader she is also an integral part of the business development team and frequently executes sales pitches, leads commercial calls and executes contracts. Networking at trade shows and making meaningful connections is a resounding strength of Melanie’s. It has enabled her to be successful in building and growing a business.
About Our Location
A Historical Building, Designed for Celebration
Built in the 1940s, the Lawrence Building is a hidden gem in Phoenix’s historic Warehouse District. Originally Phoenix’s Chinatown, the Warehouse District places a strong importance on historic preservation and contribution to the city’s culture by reclaiming its role in the economy. The rebirth of this neighborhood is creating an exciting energy and community bond that we are proud to be part of.
Our friends at House of Form thoughtfully designed an interior that blends the building’s historic character with modern style. Think exposed brick, soaring ceilings, and polished concrete floors, all coming together to create a warm, industrial-chic vibe. They brought our vision for Champagne Haus to life, transforming the space into a stunning venue where every celebration feels meaningful and unforgettable.
